Latest expert to join the firm will add extensive local knowledge to the surveying teams

DM Hall has increased its professional presence in the busy area with the appointment of a new, highly-experienced Associate to the firm.

The firm established a presence in the region in 2023 and has proceeded to impress lenders, pension funds, public bodies and private clients with its professionalism and client focus.

Its latest talent acquisition is Suzie Barron, MRICS, who was born and raised in the local area and who has an exceptional knowledge of the Cumbrian market. She will operate out of the Kendal office of the firm, which also has premises in Carlisle.

Suzie will be involved in valuation work, agency sales, lettings and acquisitions and providing advice on landlord and tenant matters such as lease renewals and rent reviews. She also specialises in general Estate Management for private clients, trusts and institutional clients.

Suzie said: “I am delighted to be joining a firm of DM Hall’s stature and reputation. In the short time it has been providing services in the Cumbria area, it has gained a very favourable reputation for integrity and professionalism.

“The firm has a most impressive pedigree, having been a trusted partner of clients for more than 128 years, and the general practice team I will be working with in Kendal have already very much proved that they are on top of their game.

“The North-West is a very vibrant market and I will be dealing with a wide range of commercial properties and advising clients as to the best approach when considering the best use of property.”

Suzie graduated from Sheffield Hallam University and worked in Leeds for two national firms specialising in Commercial Agency for over 10 years.  It was while she was in Leeds that she became a qualified Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

To help deal with the pace of expansion being experienced by DM Hall in Cumbria, the firm has also recruited Clare Browne as Property Administrator, providing back-up, support and services to the General Practice teams.
