Scott Harrington
Director
Scott moved to Cumbria in 1990 and set up Hyde Harrington with Tony Hyde in 1994. Scott was managing director of Hyde Harrington prior to its acquisition in 2023 by DM Hall where he is now a director.
As a chartered building surveyor, Scott is principally involved in de-risking projects for clients and co-ordinating all designs, specifications, contract procurement and management of construction projects, from a client’s initial ideas through to handing the keys over on completion.
Regularly recommended by the courts as an expert witness, dealing with building disputes, boundary disputes and other similar matters, Scott has acted in well over a thousand disputes. Twice having been chairman of the North West regional branch of The Pyramus and Thisbe Club, the long-established organisation that helped draft the latest party wall legislation, Scott has acted in several hundred party wall disputes since the Act was extended to cover the remainder of England and Wales.
Scott relocated to South West England in 2024 to set up a new DM Hall office, based in Truro, Cornwall.
Away from the office, Scott is a keen golfer.
