Jonathan is a Partner and runs our Edinburgh and East/Midlothian operation. He joined the firm in 2014 prior to being elected as a Partner in January 2020.

A Chartered Surveyor, Jonathan holds a master’s degree in Real Estate Management. Born and raised in East Lothian and currently residing in Midlothian, Jonathan advises clients on residential property and valuation matters in his locale which he has extensive knowledge on.

He is a member of the firm’s Management Committee and has sat on the RICS Residential Forum since 2023 proving insight into a range of topics including policy, regulation and training and is also supporting the Scottish Government’s review of the Home Report. In addition, Jonathan is a qualified APC Assessor and Counsellor.

Having successfully completed the RICS Expert Witness Certificate, Jonathan features on The Law Society of Scotland’s Expert Witness Directory (specialising in Residential Survey and Valuation) and can undertake instructions on behalf of either the Pursuer or Defender or as a Single Joint Expert.
