In Scotland, there is a long history of Property Ownership. Originally this was recorded on the Sasine Register. The Land Registration (Scotland) Act 1979 introduced the Land Register, an Ordnance Survey map based register, subsequently updated by the Land Registration etc (Scotland) Act 2012.
Whether you’re buying or selling, we can obtain details to find out who currently owns property. The register outlines who owns the property, how much was paid for it, whether it’s freehold or leasehold, and any contact information such as name and address.
