What did the start of your professional life look like: I started off as a Pension Scheme Administrator, but after losing my Mum & Dad I decided to go travelling around Australia and then on my return I fell into a job in the Business Sales Dept with DM Hall; the rest as they say is history.

Best advice received: Believe in yourself, work hard and don’t let anyone stand in your way.

What do you like most about your job: The diversity; in Property Management no day is the same. It’s challenging, but most definitely never boring and with a great team around me there is never a dull moment!

And least: Managing someone else’s property is a big responsibility and I find it hard to switch off.

Biggest professional achievement or Biggest personal achievement: Graduating from Uni with a First Class Honours degree whilst working, being a Mum to 2 children and having a social life at the same time!

The repair most worth doing to your property is: Keep your roof and rainwater goods well maintained; having your property wind and watertight is a must in my experience.

How do you see the current crisis panning out for your sector: Properties still need to be managed and maintained and we have therefore continued to do so throughout the current crisis. We have found that we have had to guide Landlords and Tenants through the crisis and with the help of packages of support for businesses from the Government we are still seeing rents coming in. Some tenants have had to be made aware that most commercial landlords are also caught up in closure of businesses, with their own issues in terms of business continuity and cashflow. We are advising their tenants to familiarise themselves with the support packages that are available and they are making use of them to help navigate through these unprecedented times. If anyone needs any help with their properties and tenants, we are more than willing to help.

How do you switch off: Listening to music, watching football and spending time with my family. I have to say I am missing gigs and going to Easter Road, but many would say I’m not missing out on too much!

What do you listen to in the car: Forth One or Absolute Radio 90s. I’ve been known to partake in a few competitions on Forth One and was probably the loudest winner they have ever had…

Which social media sites so you like/prefer: I’m a visual person, so like to scroll through Instagram.

If you weren’t in your current job, what would you be doing: I’m a qualified sports and remedial massage therapist and always saw myself working with Hibs or coupling that with being a translator at Real Madrid.

Favourite holiday destination: New York. I love the bright lights and the buzz of the city.

What makes you happy: Spending time with my family and my extended Hibs family.
