Salutations. It’s the sort of greeting that might be expected from a gnarled old pea-jacketed seafarer with a warming glass of whisky in his hand and an experienced eye on the horizon.
And that’s just the kind of character who might be expected to be seated outside the Salutation Bar in the romantic fishing village of Anstruther, which is about to change hands following an instruction to DM Hall Chartered Surveyors to market the bustling pub and restaurant.
The coastal villages of the East Neuk of Fife have always had a special place in the heart of Scots and are a favourite destination of international visitors, and the Salutation Bar epitomises everything which makes “Anster” unique.
