Ahead of the Scottish elections later this year, RICS Scotland has created their Property Manifesto. This has six principle objectives
1. Recognise the scale of the housing crisis
2. Increase the supply of housing ( all tenures )
3. Maintain and renew existing housing stock, neighbourhoods and communities
4. Expand sustainable infrastructure programmes and projects
5. Tackle the skills shortage in the built environment
6. Review tax and incentives around all properties
Eric Curran, Managing Partner at DM Hall comments: ???RICS has identified a comprehensive and coherent list of things that the built environment needs to develop and grow to meet the expectations of society.
The recommendations offer the next Scottish Parliament a template of aims and goals that require planning and investment but more importantly represent a joined up approach for an aspirational country.”
