The New Year starts with the good news of promotions at DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading firms of independent Chartered Surveyors. The firm has appointed three new directors and three new associates from within the business.
The elevation to Director of Laurence Neil in Aberdeen, Michael McDonald in Elgin and Greig Baxter in Inverurie demonstrates once again the firm’s commitment to developing and strengthening its business across Scotland.
Laurence Neil has been an Associate at the Aberdeen office, where he joined the firm in 1989. Specialising in all aspects of residential survey and valuation work, he is also involved with compliance issues and training, including acting as an APC Assessor for the RICS.
Michael McDonald has worked in the Elgin office since 2002. He has extensive experience of the residential property market throughout the Moray area. He joined DM Hall initially as a graduate trainee and qualified in 2005. In early 2014 Michael took over the running of the Elgin office.
Greig Baxter also joined DM Hall in 2002 as a trainee after graduating from Robert Gordon University and has been an Associate at the Inverurie office since 2010. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the residential property market throughout the Aberdeenshire area.
Keith Jones, Senior Partner at DM Hall, said “These new Director positions will involve increased responsibility and management duties. Laurence, Michael and Greig will add strength to the firm as it continues to expand its service throughout Scotland.”
Elevated to Associate are Amanda Cameron, who heads the firm’s Property Enquiry and Legal Search department, and residential surveyor Steven Leith, both in the Dunfermline office, and commercial surveyor Katie Craig at the Edinburgh office.
Eric Curran, DM Hall’s managing partner said: “These dedicated professionals have already given sterling service to the firm and epitomise high professional standards. We are sure that they will contribute even more in their new and well-deserved roles.”
“These appointments will be effective from 1 January 2015 and I am sure everyone in the firm and in the wider profession will join me in congratulating them on their continuing success.”
