DM Hall has agreed to sponsor Stonehaven Amateur Swimming Club, the highly successful competitive swimming club which serves the communities of Stonehaven and Mearns.
Stonehaven ASC, which is based at Stonehaven Leisure Centre and has around 70 members ranging in age from 7 to 17, recently saw one of its swimmers, Kieran Preston, win a bronze medal at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Samoa.
Based at Stonehaven Leisure Centre, it also conducts training sessions at Aberdeen Sports Village, Robert Gordon’s University and Portlethen swimming pool.
In return for its financial support, DM Hall will see its brand logo reproduced on the club’ tee shirts, newsletter and Facebook page.
Stuart Johnston, commercial partner at DM Hall’s Aberdeen office, said: “We see our sponsorship of Stonehaven ASC accomplishing two objectives: first, we strongly support the concept of engagement with communities in all the towns and cities of Scotland in which we have a presence, and, second, we value the opportunity to raise the profile of the DM Hall brand amongst the large number of families participating in competitive swimming across Aberdeenshire and the north east.”
David Watt, Chairperson at Stonehaven ASC, said: “We greatly welcome support from DM Hall in helping us to make our swimming club one of the most innovative in the region. Swimming is a fantastic sport for youngsters and DM Hall should be applauded for its contribution to helping us to offer sporting opportunities for young people now and in the future.”
