After recently acquiring Kendal and Carlisle-based firm, Hyde Harrington, DM Hall is enhancing presence in the region via a new partnership with the Lancashire & Cumbria Women in Property (WiP) network (a satellite branch of the North West Women in Property).
DM Hall provides services to the commercial property, construction, and social housing sectors, will become a sponsor of WiP’s Cumbria and Lancashire section for a year starting in May 24 and will help advance the network’s ambitious events programme.
As well as once again raising its profile in the area, the deal will strengthen ties with WiP, whose 300-plus North West members span all professions in property and construction including law, architecture, surveying, design, consultancy and contracting.
WiP L&C Chair Jane Fillis, an Associate Rural Property Lawyer at Harrison Drury said:
“We are delighted to take part in this exciting new tie-up with DM Hall and look forward to a fruitful and rewarding partnership.
“The new sponsorship will help facilitate our continued support for our members throughout their careers from graduate to senior board level, and positively encourage girls aspiring to a career in the built environment sector.
“Women in Property has an array of social events, as well as its own mentoring scheme and an acclaimed Student Awards programme every year. It actively seeks an industry that is balanced, diverse and inclusive.”
The Lancashire & Cumbria group of WiP plans a full programme for 2024, including seminars, workshops, site tours and a summer event featuring a Windermere boat cruise.
