DM Hall’s Expansion into Cumbria: Welcoming Hyde Harrington
DM Hall’s expansion last year into the North of England with its acquisition of Cumbrian chartered surveying practice, Hyde Harrington, was officially marked with two launch events in Kendal and Carlisle.
The Wine Bar in Lowther Street, Kendal and The Halston hotel in Warwick Road, Carlisle, hosted a gathering of the region’s property professionals, on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 April, respectively.
Paul Evans, former Hyde Harrington Director in the Kendal office, and now DM Hall Director to the acquisition said: “We are delighted to celebrate the formal launch of our business as DM Hall and want to spread the word that this is an exciting new era for our firm.
“When we agreed to the acquisition of Hyde Harrington by DM Hall we anticipated the transition, with a new brand identity, might happen over an extended period. However, as a result of our enhanced offering to the market, we are welcoming a variety of new commercial agency and valuation opportunities, and in the event, we decided to progress quickly.”
Charles Metcalf, Director, who specialises in building surveying and operates from DM Hall’s Kendal office, said: The acquisition process and transition has been seamless with an immediate integration throughout the business. The transition is a significant milestone for DM Hall’s business and Hyde Harrington is excited at the opportunities of developing new client relationships north of the border as well as providing an enhanced offering to our existing valued clients.”
“The launch events will mark the start of an exciting new chapter for DM Hall’s journey of growth within England and we are delighted to be able furnish clients with increased service line offerings. It has already been encouraging to see a healthy number of reinstatement valuations undertaken in Scotland by our quantity surveying team and we look forward to providing a wide range of surveying services nationally.”
Managing Partner, John McHugh, said: “We are encouraged by the impact the acquisition of Hyde Harrington by DM Hall has had among property professionals in the north of England.
“We are determined to ensure that all necessary resources are at the disposal of our fantastic Cumbrian team to make DM Hall’s Carlisle and Kendal offices hubs of insightful and experienced property valuation expertise.”
