DM Hall is marketing a variety of sympathetically refurbished retail, leisure and office spaces in Queen’s Court, Sandgate, Ayr, a Victorian era arcade centrally situated in Ayr town centre.
Queens Court occupies a prominent position on Sandgate, a busy main road in the town centre, at its junction with the niche retailing street of Newmarket Street, with on-street and public car parking nearby.
The attractive retail arcade was originally built as a stable block and has dual access from Sandgate and Newmarket Street, with a central, cobbled courtyard, a rear courtyard and a variety of spaces available, from £5,000 per annum. At the heart of Queens Court, situated in its main courtyard and opening in July, will be Puck Espresso, an independent coffee brand, quickly followed by a clothing retailer and a hair salon. There is a 50+ cover restaurant opportunity in the rear courtyard, with scope for external seating.
Offices are available for rent in the prominent and characterful main building, in a range of sizes from 337sqft, with the new owners open to various uses including the wellbeing and beauty sectors, sharing the building with a barber shop, a salon and a dental practice.
DM Hall’s Anthony Zdanowicz said: “Queen’s Court is a fine example of elegant Victorian architecture which, sadly, had been lying unloved and unoccupied for some years. Since it passed into new ownership, however, it has undergone a renaissance and retail, leisure and office units are now available for lease, several of which are already under offer.
“The Royal Bank of Scotland is located opposite Queens Court and the local area is characterised by a mix of quality retail leisure, licensed and professional businesses. Most properties in Queens Court qualify for full business rates relief and are competitively priced, with flexible terms available, ideal for local business owners. The owners are open to a variety of uses that will add to an artisanal mix and would be delighted to show interested parties around in what will be a rejuvenated town centre experience.
