DM Hall has been instrumental in assisting WWF Scotland, part of one of the world?۪s most influential environmental organisations, to move to a stunning new headquarters in Edinburgh.
The organisation, which deals with issues of growing global concern such as climate change, threats to natural resources and rising energy use, has taken space at The Tun, the exciting mixed use development next door but one to the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood.
The move has been the latest development in a long-term relationship between WWF Scotland and DM Hall which has seen the surveying firm pull out all the stops to meet and exceed the organisation’s exacting environmental standards.
It means WWF Scotland is closer to the decision-making centre of the country, has easier access to key stakeholders, including government and media, and has a more effective fundraising capability.
Michael Court, DM Hall commercial partner specialising in agency and acquisitions, development advice and valuations, said: “The Tun is a visually dramatic building which adds to the diversity of the Old Town.
“It is an ideal location for WWF Scotland and significant effort has been put in to making sure that we found a building with environmental attributes which are commensurate with the organisation’s high standards.”
WWF Scotland and DM Hall started working together more than 10 years ago, when the Scotland-wide firm sourced WWF’s previous office in Dunkeld, Perthshire, and were heavily involved in the complete re-fit of the premises to ensure the building was refurbished to maximise its environmental credentials.
Lang Banks, director of WWF Scotland, said: “DM Hall has met and exceeded its professional brief in sourcing The Tun, which will make a very appropriate HQ for our continually expanding activities in Scotland and internationally.
“It is a remarkable building which puts WWF Scotland centre stage as it carries out its important work of influencing policy providing solutions and gaining public support and involvement.”
