DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading firms of independent chartered surveyors, has pledged its support to Scotland’s cerebral palsy football team as it prepares to compete on the world stage in Atlanta later this year.
The firm is backing the squad’s fundraising campaign to help cover the costs of travel, accommodation and preparation for the Cerebral Palsy World Cup, reinforcing its wider commitment to supporting causes which make a meaningful difference within communities across Scotland.
The Scotland team has been working intensively in preparation for the tournament, with recent training camps in the United States forming a key part of its build-up.
A member of the national squad, Will Graham, said: “for me it’s been amazing. Stuff like this doesn’t come around very often and being here is just life‑changing – something you’ll tell your kids about.
“It’s such a great opportunity for me and the rest of the boys, and I can’t wait for my family to come out and see it later in the year.
“Playing against some of the best teams in the world will be brilliant. I’ve worked so hard for the last two years and I just can’t wait.”
DM Hall’s connection is particularly close since Will’s dad, Steven Graham, is a Partner and residential property surveyor based in the firm’s Oban office.
Steven said: “the journey to this point had been particularly significant given the challenges Will has faced. He has had to overcome a number of health challenges over the years, so to see him reach this level and represent Scotland is incredibly special.
“This is an exciting opportunity not just for him but for the whole squad, and we’re immensely proud of what they have achieved and what lies ahead.”
DM Hall’s support will contribute to the team’s wider fundraising efforts, which are crucial in ensuring that players are able to participate in international competition and continue developing the sport in Scotland.
The firm already supports a number of corporate charity partners, including SAMH (Scottish Action for Mental Health) and Homeless Project Scotland, but this latest commitment reflects its willingness to stand behind causes which resonate personally with colleagues.
Stephanie Stewart, Marketing Manager at DM Hall, said: “We are proud to support Scotland’s cerebral palsy football team as it prepares for the World Cup. “We wish the team every success and are delighted to play a small part in supporting their journey to the global stage.”
