DM Hall announces the sale of Aberdeen’s International Casino
DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading firm of Chartered Surveyors, is delighted to announce the sale of one of Aberdeen’s most iconic buildings. The firm was appointed sole marketing agents for the 18,416 sq ft former International Casino building.
The property is situated in the heart of city, amongst established hotels and office buildings, surrounded by a diverse mix of restaurants, bars and shopping, with superb views over Aberdeen Harbour.
With its prominent corner position, it is understandable that the property attracted a great deal of interest from potential bidders, for a variety of uses. On the market for offers in excess of £1,000,000, the landmark property sold for an undisclosed sum to a local businessman.
Matthew Park, of DM Hall’s Aberdeen Commercial department commented, “We are delighted to have acted on the sale of the former International Casino building on behalf of our clients. This landmark property is situated within the heart of the rebranded Merchant Quarter and adjacent to Hammerson’s new Union Square development. As a result, strong interest was generated from a wide cross section of potential purchasers for a variety of uses.
“This sale demonstrates the undoubted potential of this iconic and prominent building within this already popular location which is earmarked for further development, including a £30 million hotel and office development within the immediate vicinity.”
