Two new directors have been appointed by DM Hall LLP, one of Scotland’s leading independent firms of chartered surveyors.
The two promotions, from Associate to Director, of Paul Reilly, a residential surveyor in the Glasgow North office and of Barry McGhee, a building surveyor based in the firm’s Aberdeen office, have been welcomed by Keith Jones, Senior Partner.
Keith Jones commented “We have always endeavoured to look forward and invest in strengthening our business model. This commitment is demonstrated by the promotion of key personnel such as Barry and Paul. They are both valuable additions to our management and business development teams and they will help secure our objective of further developing our well established residential and commercial business in Scotland.”
Eric Curran, the firm’s Managing Partner, said “Paul and Barry were identified some time ago as having the potential to take on increased levels of responsibility within the firm and we are very pleased to see them being promoted to directorship level.
Both are experienced and very capable surveyors who will strengthen and broaden our offering to clients. As a firm we have experienced a welcome return of confidence to the commercial and residential property markets recently which have seen strong demand for both our building surveying and residential property advice and expertise.”
Barry, who joined DM Hall from CBRE in 2012, presently manages the building consultancy department in the Aberdeen office and has worked in the construction industry for seventeen years. With this promotion he will assume responsibility for the firm’s building surveying and consultancy division replacing long-serving Partner, Andrew McFarlane who has moved to a consultancy role.
Paul, who joined DM Hall’s Inverness office in 1998 as a graduate trainee, moved to the firm’s Glasgow North office in 2009 after a three-year spell working for DM Hall in South Lanarkshire. He will assist Director, Alan Cunningham, in the development and management of one of the firm’s busiest residential offices.
