Tendeka, the provider of completions systems and services to the upstream oil and gas industry, has acquired new premises at Altens Industrial Estate, Aberdeen.
The Advanced Completions Technology and Training Centre will enable Tendeka to enhance performance from its industry-leading wireless intelligent completions, reservoir monitoring technologies and advanced data management and utilisation software solutions.
Situated on Minto Drive, the new detached facility extends to 8,500 sq. ft. and comprises of a workshop and office accommodation with associated car parking and a secure yard.
Commenting on the new acquisition, Tendeka’s Chief Financial Officer Alan Pearson said: “Our investment in this new facility will enable us to focus on the research and development of our advanced completions technology serving the global market.
“During the current industry downturn, it is essential that Tendeka is well placed to better service its customers, providing a readily available on-the-ground supply of a range of technologies and in developing innovative, cost-effective solutions that enhance safety and improve efficiency.”
Stuart Johnston, Partner at DM Hall Chartered Surveyors who acquired the building for the company on an off market basis, said: “Our client’s acquisition of this building on a long lease commitment highlights the lack of availability of good quality modern stock of this particular size within Aberdeen. It is also encouraging to see that companies such as Tendeka are continuing to win new work despite the challenging operating conditions that many of the city’s energy sector businesses are currently experiencing.”
