DM Hall, one of Scotland’s leading firms of Chartered Surveyors, has promoted Mark O’Neill, formerly a senior surveyor in its Glasgow commercial property department, to Associate.
Mark, who qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1996, joined DM Hall’s commercial property arm in 2006. Since 2009 he has been responsible for developing DM Hall’s Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) offering to the commercial property sector.
He said: “EPCs are becoming more widely accepted as part of the marketing process for commercial property as vendors and landlords want to stay on the right side of the regulations. With growing concerns over increasing energy costs to businesses I have no doubt that EPCs will, in time, become a powerful marketing tool.”
“DM Hall’s nationwide team of fully qualified Commercial Energy Assessors is now fully established and as a result we are well placed to meet increasing demand for this service.”
Commercial property partner Alan Gordon said: “Mark has made a significant contribution to DM Hall by driving the EPC agenda throughout the business community and thoroughly deserves this promotion.”
