Architectural Services

Architectural Services at DM Hall specialise in drawing work whether that be registration plans, boundary disputes, building warrants, or anything in between. If the challenge requires a plan to be drawn then our team can help you.

One of the most common problems when getting a sale across the finishing line is unauthorised alterations. Just when you thought the property was sold, the buyer will be looking for consent on any alterations. That is where we can come in.

At DM Hall, we can provide the following services to help ease these issues, maintain the selling price and even stop the buyer pulling out of the sale completely.

Alteration reports for presenting to solicitors and lenders
Confirmation that works are exempt and compliance of same
Retrospective consent applications prepared and submitted
Co-ordination of other professional services to address remedial work

If you are planning to undertake building work, we can help remove the stresses and strains with respect to achieving a building warrant. A building warrant will need to show that the design of your home will meet all the requirements of the latest domestic building regulations.

With changes being made through Land Registration etc (Scotland) Act 2012, the Keeper of the Registers of Scotland has been asked to complete the Land Register within 10 years. To help both owners of residential property and rural land with the associated costs, we are matching the Keeper’s offer with a 25% reduction in the fees for producing the necessary plan for registration.

Not only that but our drawing section has a close working relationship with the Keepers’ staff and can provide the appropriate plans required for registration purposes.

We also host free CPD seminars for solicitor firms across the country. If you would like to arrange a session, please email allsearch@dmhall.co.uk

Even a seemingly minor boundary dispute can often sometimes grow into a lengthy, expensive legal battle if the right advice is not sought.

We can help avoid this by providing impartial expert advice and the following services:

Initial title deed investigation • On site survey, including determination and marking of boundaries • Preparation of explanatory drawing and report

We have experience in dealing with a wide range of boundary disputes, so if you have a current boundary issue get in touch.
