Home Buyers Report

RICS Home Survey and Valuation (Scheme 2)

Buying a home is one of he biggest investments you will ever make therefore this is the report that DM Hall recommends you should obtain particularly for houses over 20 years of age.  The report involves a more thorough inspection and focuses on the defects and other problems which the surveyor considers to be urgent of significant and which would have an effect on the value of the property.

This report will highlight the main problems found or suspected or suspected and may recommend further specialist investigations.  The main objectives of the service are to assist the client to:

  • Make an informed judgement on whether or not to proceed with the purchase
  • Decide at what price it would be reasonable to purchase the property
  • Assess urgent and significant matters before making an offer

However, the report will not list minor defects.

DM Hall will also provide the initial Mortgage Valuation Report to your Bank or Building Society based on the findings of the RICS Homebuyer Survey and Valuation at no extra charge.
