Location/Description
The subjects are situated on the Northmost side of Princes Street, close to the harbour area of Ardrossan. Princes Street forms part of the A738, the main traffic thoroughfare within the town centre. The railway station is also situated nearby.
Ardrossan is located on the West Coast, overlooking the Firth of Clyde, approximately 25 miles Southwest of Glasgow City centre and 12 miles South of Largs.
The town and surrounding area are subject to a regeneration project, benefiting from ongoing housing development and a new ASDA store. Ardrossan is also the main ferry terminal for the crossing to Arran.
The subjects comprise former public house premises forming part of the ground floor of a traditional two storey and attic, mid terrace building of stone construction with a pitched slate roof over. The premises have been extended to the rear by way of a single storey extension with a flat roof over.
Internally, the subjects are entered directly into the public bar which has a “horseshoe” bar servery, centrally located for ease of service. There is a small store to the rear of the bar servery.
Male, female and disabled toilet facilities are provided and completing the accommodation is a beer cellar/store which has the benefit of a separate access to the rear of the subjects to facilitate deliveries.
