Building Surveying   (Scheme 3)

There will be a Home Report on the property you want to purchase, however you may wish to instruct your own surveyor for independent advice and to provide a more in-depth survey on the property. As such we still offer a variety of surveying services.

A building survey is rarely used in Scotland, partly because of the speed at which house purchase normally takes place. The owner of the property is unlikely to allow a building survey to take place unless there is a limited market for the property. It would, however, be sensible to instruct such a report on, say, a very old or individual type of property.

This is a very detailed report: the inspection takes several hours and the surveyor will examine closely the structure and condition of the building and may recommend further specialist investigations.
